Salal Consulting is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based advisory firm founded in 2010 by Alison Biely and Dara Edmonds. Over time, the business evolved to reflect the distinct expertise and passions of its founders. Today, the original practice has grown into two complementary consulting firms.
Salal Consulting, led by Alison Biely, specializes in Indigenous relations, reconciliation, strategic partnerships, project management, archaeology, and community engagement. We help organizations build respectful relationships with Indigenous communities while advancing reconciliation, sustainability, and responsible project delivery.
Salal Sustainability Consulting, led by Dara Edmonds, focuses on sustainability strategy, environmental stewardship, corporate responsibility, and helping organizations integrate sustainable practices into their operations and decision-making.
While the firms now operate independently, they continue to share the values that inspired the original company: collaboration, integrity, respect, and a commitment to creating positive, lasting change.
